About us
 The Forest Country House
B&B is owned and managed by
ourselves Paul and
Michelle Martin. We moved here with our 2 children from Surrey in the summer of 2007 after falling in
love with Kerry and its surrounding area.
 Several
wood burning stoves and open fires in the house helps to use
up timber from fallen trees in the garden and nearby
woodlands.
We have a number of pets which include Libby our Cavalier
King Charles Spaniel two guinea pigs and tropical fish. Being
a Vet, Michelle has always been around animals and continues
to work as a part-time in Newtown.
 In
the paddock we have 3 Badger Faced Ewes and a pony called
Millie. Badger Faced Mountain Sheep are a hardy welsh hill
breed who love to climb.
Organic produce is very important to the Martin family so we
have 9 free range chickens.
Their eggs are usually on the breakfast menu for guests to
enjoy.
Both of us are keen to promote environmentally friendly facilities
and as part of our efforts to offer eco friendly accommodation we
have taken steps to reduce our energy consumption and utilise
solar energy. We recently installed solar panels for hot
water heating in our B&B and plan to add photovoltaic cells
in the summer of 2010 to produce electricity.
