Recreation Facilities and our Farm Animals
The Forest Country House B&B is a bed and
breakfast with facilities for all the family. In the
garden we have a play area for young children and this year
we extended the play area by building a large timber fort for
older children. As parents ourselves, we know how helpful it
is to have somewhere where children can be happily occupied.
We also have a games room above the stables so there is
plenty to enjoy in wet weather too and the adults too. For the little ones we have
a play house and various toys for toddlers. Although no
longer a working farm, we have a few sheep which the
children may stroke and feed with Michelle's help. A private
hot tub be be available to help guests relax and unwind.
Gardens
The gardens and paddock extend for about 4 acres with seating
for a perfect relaxing afternoon.
Games Room
The games room is on the first floor above our
stables and houses a number of games suitable for adults
and children of all ages.
Equipment includes Table football, Table Tennis and a Pool
table ideal for older children and adults. It is unheated and open from 10am to 9pm.
Tennis Court
 For
those who prefer outdoor pursuits we have a tennis court in
the gardens and guests are welcome to play at any time.
Although we do have a few rackets and balls we recommend
guests bring
their own if they can.
In the corner of the court is a basket ball net and swing
ball on the lawn.
Hot tub Jacuzzi Spa for
exclusive private use
An outdoor hot tub jacuzzi spa may be available to hire
for exclusive use whenever Forest Cottage is vacant.
The hot tub spa has 26 jacuzzi jets for an all over body
massage and is kept at a comfortable 38 degrees C.
It is located to the side of Forest Cottage and guests may use
the cottage to change and shower. The hot tub is not
overlooked ensuring complete privacy.
Timber Fort for the older children
New for 2010 is Forest Fort a large timber fort for older
children to enjoy. It has a climbing wall, a climbing net, a
lookout tower, slide and hideaways and nearby is a small
obstacle course.
A Flying Fox Zip Line can be attached to the fort for older children to
enjoy provided there is adult supervision.
Play Area and Play House for the younger children
 A play area is provided for younger children with a climbing frame
den with slide and there is a separate swing for toddlers.
There is also a play house with toys for young children.
Football ad other ball games may be played on the lawn.
Meet our farm animals
Children will enjoy meeting our family of animals;
Mable, Maureen and Milkshake, our Badger Faced Welsh Mountain
sheep with their 4 new lambs born in April 2011, and
Libby, our very friendly
spaniel. Under Michelle's guidance they may feed and pet the
farm animals.
They may also enjoy feeding corn to our free ranging hens
and cockerels.
All play equipment must be supervised by an adult at all
times and is used at own risk. The proprietors accept no responsibility or liability
for any injury or loss resulting from the use of the play
equipment.
